I am genuinely interested in veterinary medicine and enjoy working collaboratively with researchers first to understand their research objectives in order to translate them into statistics and later to aid in their interpretation of my statistical analyses. On average, I consult on about 90 research projects a year. I have authored or co-authored over 50 scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals

I hold a Ph.D. in Biomathematics from the Statistics Department at North Carolina State University. Biomathematics is an interdisciplinary graduate program requiring significant coursework in statistics, math, and biology. Post-graduation, I worked for four years in the private sector, first as a biostatistician in agrochemical, then in contact lens industries, followed by two years as a research associate in Environmental Health at the University of Georgia (UGA) before becoming an independent statistical consultant.
Since 2005, I’ve served as a statistical consultant at the nearby UGA College of Veterinary Medicine in Athens, GA. My network has grown in veterinary medicine, so I now work with a variety of veterinary medical researchers, including residents and clinicians in other academic institutions, corporate and privately owned veterinary practices, and contract research organizations.
When not working, I enjoy biking, running, aerial dance, singing, travel, and hanging out with my family and three cats.
